How Mymories works
Mymories is a shared photo album for weddings, birthdays, trips and family gatherings. You create an event, share the QR code or link, and every guest uploads their photos and videos into the same album, in original quality.
Download the app or open the web app, create an event and give it a name. You get the QR code and invite link right away. Send them via WhatsApp, print them or put them on table cards.
Yes. The album runs in the browser on any smartphone, iPhone or Android. The app is free on the App Store and Google Play. Photos from both worlds end up in one album, without the quality loss of WhatsApp.
Anything where several people take photos: weddings, birthdays, trips with friends, class reunions, club parties, company events or an ongoing family album. Every event gets its own album.
Pricing
Yes. The app is free, and a free event covers up to 50 photos and 5 participants with 12 months of storage. If you need more, you upgrade that one event once: Basic at €2.99 gives you 150 photos and unlimited participants, Ultra at €11.99 gives you unlimited photos, unlimited participants and 4K video.
No. Basic and Ultra are one-time purchases for a single event. No subscription, no ads, no hidden costs.
No. Guests never pay. Only the person who created the event buys the upgrade, and it then applies to all participants.
Guests & participants
No. Guests open the album via QR code or link directly in their browser and can view, upload and download photos there. The app is optional and adds extras like push notifications for new photos.
Viewing the album requires nothing at all. To upload, guests just enter their first name so photos can be attributed. No email, no password, no sign-up. A real account with Apple, Google or email is only needed if someone wants to keep their events permanently and across multiple devices.
A free event has room for 5 participants. With Basic or Ultra there is no limit, weddings with more than 200 guests run without issues. Everyone can upload at the same time.
Yes. As long as the event exists, guests can add photos later, for example the ones from a camera that only gets read out at home.
Photos & videos
At full resolution with no quality loss. Unlike WhatsApp, nothing is compressed, and you can download the originals anytime.
Yes. Videos up to 3 minutes long go into the album just like photos, in Full HD by default. With Ultra you can also keep videos in 4K.
Yes. You download all photos and videos of an event together as a ZIP file, on your phone or computer. Perfect as the basis for a photo book.
In the app, photos go into a queue and upload automatically as soon as there is a connection again. Uploading through the browser needs an active connection, but the photos stay on the phone and can be added later.
Privacy & storage
Only people who have the QR code or the event link. You can additionally protect the album with a password. Your photos can't be found publicly.
On Google Cloud servers in Europe, GDPR-compliant. Photos are encrypted in transfer and at rest. We don't sell data and don't show ads.
12 months from the creation of the event. If you upgrade the event to Basic or Ultra, the storage period restarts, 12 months from the upgrade. We'll notify you in time before it ends so you can download everything.
